Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea endemic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthic grazer of algae (Ref. 3488). Caught with nets and other types of artisanal gear.
