Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  17 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 6 years
Environment:  demersal; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Northeastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found inshore and intertidal, under stones on sheltered muddy sand. Feeds on polychaetes, algae, crustaceans, bivalves.
