Family:  Congridae (Conger and garden eels), subfamily: Heterocongrinae
Max. size:  70 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 30 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Galapagos Islands.
Biology:  Inhabits clean sand. Found in large colonies. Feeds on plankton.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 22 May 2007 Ref. (123251)
