Environment:  reef-associated; depth range - 12 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from the central and southern portions of the Red Sea.
Biology:  Found in aggregations above outer reef slopes. Feeds on zooplankton.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 June 2008 Ref. (120744)
