Comments: Birth may occur at any time of the year, peaking in summer. Litter contains 7 to 20 pups, born at about 59 to 70 cm long. A known pupping site is north of Adelaide in Gulf St Vincent. Pregnant bronze whalers move inshore to drop their young (Ref. 6390).
